A Registrar is an organization or company
that is accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned
Names and Numbers in order to provide registration services.
Kentucky Computing now offers domain registration/transfer
services in through eNom, Inc.
Methods to register or transfer a domain:
If setting up a virtual/shared hosting account
with a new domain, this option is provided within on our signup
form. If you need to register or transfer a domain only, please
use this link here.
Do you provide a money back guarantee?
Unfortunately, domain fees are nonrefundable
by the registrar, so please verify spelling before submitting
your order.
How do I transfer my domain to your registrar (eNom, Inc.)?
Complete the registration/transfer form, your
domain contact (administrator) receives an e-mail with instructions
to approve the transfer. Failure in responding to the e-mail
will cause the transfer to be rejected. Please verify a valid
e-mail is on record (WHOIS) with your current registrar before
initiating the transfer.
How long do registrations/transfers take?
For new domains it usually takes from 24 to
48 hours to fully propagate throughout the internet.
If transferring your domain from another registrar,
the times may vary depending on the registrar from which you
are transferring. Transfers usually take up to one week depending
on how quickly the transfer is approved.
Are there interruptions in service when transferring a
domain?
No, there will be no interruption of service
(including website and e-mail). When the domain is transferred
all data (name servers and DNS information) will be unchanged.
My domain is about to expire, can I still transfer it
to Kentucky Computing?
We do not recommend submitting a transfer request (of registrar)
for domains that will expire in less than two weeks. Expired
domains may be placed 'on hold' which would result in the
site becoming inaccessible.
